Membership in the organization is open to all windsurfers and kiteboarders, their families and friends. But the North Flats is private property and is not open to the general public. Click here for a Membership Form. To use the North Flats you MUST be a member of the South Padre Island Windsurfing and Kiteboarding Organization AND all sailors and kiters MUST sign the all important release form that protects the owners of the property. To be blunt, you must be a current member to use this private beach.

Membership dues are only $15 for a monthly membership or $25 for a full year. Once you have paid your dues and turned in your filled out and SIGNED Release Form you will be given a members sticker for the calendar year you joined. Please display this sticker on the rear widow of your vehicle.

Our initial goals:

ACCESS: Improve already available access and look for alternative launch sites.

SAFETY: form a partnership with local entities to insure a safe water sports use environment.

FACILITIES: restrooms, trash, shade, parking and rigging areas.

EDUCATION: of country, town and state to our concerns and needs of the general public who use these areas for other activities.
