2009 Blowout Race Results

GPS Speed Days 2009

On three Saturdays this summer the Windsurf & Kiteboard Association hosted the GPS Speed Days. This is a friendly competition in which participants wear a Global Positioning Satellite device which records their speed as they sail or kite. The device tracks and records the highest speed achieved and the sailor or kiter with the highest speed in his or her category is the winner. Prizes were awarded in the form of gift certificates to local shops and restaurants in the amounts of $50 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd, and $15 for 3rd place finishes. Many thanks to all of our competitors and congratulations to the winners!
