MEMBERSHIP STICKERS – Fall is here (already!) and it’s time to renew your annual membership. The new 2007 stickers are available as of Nov 1. Please note the rates have changed. The annual rate is $25 per car. A monthly rate is now available at $15 per car. For the monthly rate you will be given a mirror tag (no sticker) which will display its expiration date and the license plate number of your car. The membership form is enclosed in this newsletter. The annual membership form is also available on our website www.spiwindsurfing.com, for the monthly pass it will be necessary to fill out the form at one of the local shops. In addition is the liability form, which MUST be signed and turned in. The owners of the North Flats property are leasing the use of their property to the members of SPI Windsurfing and Kiteboarding Association with the requirement that all members of this organization submit a signed release form. The new stickers should be placed in the upper corner of the passenger side of your windshield. By displaying your membership sticker it shows we are in accordance to the property owner’s requirement. We’ll need some self policing, so we ask YOUR assistance in assuring everyone’s car at the Flats has either the sticker or mirror tag on display. If you have any questions about your registration or the release for e-mail Herman at sbsso@awesomenet.net and be sure to put SPI Windsurfing in the subject field.

SUMMER 2006 – SPI experienced an exceptionally quiet summer season. A mixed blessing – good because there were no hurricanes to escape, not good because there were no hurricanes to stir up the winds. But there was still sailing to be had, roughly 10+ decent days per month over the summer. No records were broken as happened this spring when on March 6th our own Rick Ekstrom hit 40.5 miles per hour!

BLOWOUT ’06 – Light winds prevailed at this years Blowout, but we still had 50+ competitors. Results
